The Institute of Toastmasters of Great Britain was founded in 1972 and consists of a group of some of the most experienced toastmasters in the UK who are intent on upholding the very high standards that the profession demands. To qualify for membership applicants must uphold the very high standards of the profession and are required to go through a rigorous process of examination; Undergo a 12 month training under a Mentor Sit a written examination Attend an oral examination Uniform Inspection Demonstrate your abilities Inspection of your work by an independent member Provide references All is needed to ensure that they are proficient enough to be considered members.
